What are WOW’s opening times?
WOW opens at 10am and closes at 1am. However, within the cultural district, there are specific opening times for different areas.

- Every day | 10am to 7pm (Last entry at 6pm
OPENING TIMES OF THE EXPERIENCE SHOPS:
- Every day | 10am to 8pm

Do I have to pay to get into WOW?
WOW is a free to enter district, you only pay to enter our museum experiences and for your food and drinks in our restaurants, bars and cafés.
What is the best way to get to WOW?
WOW is located in the historical area of Vila Nova de Gaia and the preservation of the district and its heritage is paramount, we recommend arriving by alternative transport.
WOW is located in Rua do Choupelo, in Vila Nova de Gaia and has three main entrances:
- Coach and taxi drop-off point is below The Yeatman Hotel
- Entrance on Rua do Choupelo
- Entrance on Largo Joaquim Magalhães
A fourth entrance is available for those wanting to use public transport: located in Rua Cândido dos Reis and less than 10 minutes’ walk from the General Torres metro/train station or from Jardim do Morro metro station.
Is it possible to get to WOW by car?
Yes, it is, and we have a car park for our visitors.
How long does a visit to WOW take?
WOW is an entire district full of experiences, restaurants, bars, cafés and shops to explore, and the time spent is in accordance with the time available to you.
The average time needed for a museum experience is approximately 2 hours.
Where can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased directly on this website. Alternatively our onsite ticket office opens everyday at 10am.
What languages of the experiences in?
All our experiences have audio-guides available in 6 languages: Portuguese, English, French, Spanish, German and Korean.
When they say 5 experiences, what do they mean?
WOW is a district that has six museum quality experiences: we call them experiences because they are more interactive and experiential.
The six experiences are:
- The Wine Experience

Is there a lost & found and how do I access it?
In the case any visitor forgets a personal item and one of our members of staff finds it, you should go to our information desk at the main reception, where lost and found is located.

Yes, WOW has ATM machines
Is WOW accessible for people with reduced mobility?
WOW is accessible for people with reduced mobility. We have lifts in several areas of the district. We are also able to provide a wheelchair for those who need it. Please contact our information team who will be happy to help.
Does WOW have a baby care room?
Yes, WOW has a room for breastfeeding, changing nappies or resting babies.
Is there a discount for group bookings?

Are guided tours available?
There are guided tours every day at The Art of Drinking museum, at 11am and 3pm
Can I take photos during my visit?
Yes, you can.
Are WOW museums suitable for children?
Yes, all our experiences can be visited by children of all ages.
Are there any activities specifically for children?
Yes, WOW frequently creates activities and workshops specific for children.
Is there a children ticket?
Yes. Children until 4 years old don't pay. And children until 12 have reduced ticket.
