WOW WINS WINE TOURISM AWARDS NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY

In just one week, WOW won five wine tourism awards inside and outside thecountry. Of note, the "Cultural Mission", by the Wine Travel Awards 2024, and "Best Urban WineTourism", by the National Wine Tourism Awards.

At the international level, WOW was the big winner of the WTA, in the category of "Cultural Mission", having been elected among other wine tourism education initiatives in countries such as Spain, Georgia, France and Austria and deserving to take the stage and receive the ovation of the audience.

At the same international awards ceremony, which took place last week during the London Wine Fair, WOW's The Wine School was also distinguished, in this case with the Jury's Choice Award, in the category "Unique Program in Wine Tourism Education”.

It should be noted that in each category there are five finalists, who are submitted to the appreciation of the WTA Jury, composed of 12 renowned professionals in the areas of wine, wine tourism and the specialty press.

Also in the WTA voting, both WOW and The Wine Schoolwere the public's choice in their respective categories, winning two diplomasfor "WTA Public Voting Winner".

Winner also at national level

With regard to the national awards, WOW wasdistinguished as "BestUrban Wine Tourism".This was a new category, delivered for the first time at this year's ceremonythat took place at Quinta dos Anjos, in Santarém.

The National Wine Tourism Awards, created by APENO – Portuguese Wine TourismAssociation, distinguish the best projects in the country's wine tourismsector, with a very diverse panel of judges, including journalists, official wine and tourism entities, chefs and sommeliers, and even someof APENO's members.

Last year, WOW had won in the category of "WineTourism Award – Best Innovation and Technology" and The Wine Experiencemuseum had won the same award in the category of "Best Art andCulture".
