The DNA of fashion in Portugal: the textile industry and stylists

Porto Fashion & Fabric Museum is a two-level collection. The first part deals with the textile industry in Portugal.

Visitors can learn about the importance of the sector in the development of the northern part of the country, as well as in the national economy. The presentation follows a comprehensive temporal logic, which tells the past, reflects the present and unveils what the future of the industry should be, with a strong emphasis on quality and sustainability.

The second part emphasizes the art of filigree, national footwear and Portuguese fashion, in a synthesis of what constitutes the DNA of fashion in Portugal, from the 1980s to the present day.
